Year 6 at St Michael's Church Carol Service

What a fabulous evening we spent at St Michael's Church on Tuesday 12th.  Year 6 pupils from Windhill21 joined several other local primary schools for a wonderful carol service in the magical candlelit church.  The evening commenced with Dillon Browne and Sai Kandamath joining eight other soloists to sing the first verse of 'Once in Royal David's City'.  Their beautiful voices filled the church and Christmas had certainly begun.  We were then entertained by Freddie Buttle and Ben Scofield with their perfectly delivered reading of the 'Shepherd's Story' - their comic timing was impeccable and hugely enjoyed by all.  All schools performed a song on the stage and Windhill, looking smart and angelic, sang 'Born on Christmas Day'.  All the children sang their hearts out and did the school proud.  Following that, there was a surge of emotion in the church as all the children sang an amazing rendition of  'Mary did you know?'  Thank you to all the children who performed and to all the parents for their support.
